Alexandra Stan has joined gândul”s campaign – „Speak Romanian”. Her voice was heard at Valea Plopului and Valea Screzii, in a care center lead by the priest Nicolae Tănase, where 403 people are living today – abandoned children, orphans whom no one wants, toddlers, mothers who are struggling and elderly people left alone by their families. The singer read the kids one chapter from the Romanian’s classic children’s book „Amintiri din copilărie” – „La cireșe” – which the small ones found very funny. You can listen to the recording here.

Alexandra Stan, 24, launched her first single „Lillipop (Param Pam Pam”, in 2009. Her second single, „Mr. Saxobeat”, was a great success all over the world. It became an international hit and made it to charts from New Zeeland, UK, Australia, Canada and USA.

Her first album, „Saxobeats”, was launched în august 2011. In 2012, she released a new song called „Lemonade”, which got almost 47.000 views on YouTube in less than 10 months.
